GLF appoints Victor Blank as Vice Chairman

GLF board members at the 16th October board meeting in London, appointed Sir Victor Blank, Chairman of the Strategy and Development Committee, as the second GLF Vice Chairman, alongside Chester Crocker. Sir Victor was Chairman of the Lloyds Banking Group amongst other companies in media, retailing and business services.



GLF congratulates PJ Patterson

GLF member PJ Patterson was recently made 'Statesman in Residence', an honorary title reserved for very distinguished regional and international retired leaders, at the University of the West Indies' (UWI). The university has also created the PJ Patterson Centre for Africa-Caribbean Advocacy. Since his retirement from politics, Mr Patterson serves as a patron of UWI's Global Giving Programme, an initiative which helps raise money for students from disadvantaged students.





Allan Gray

The Chairman and all members of the Global Leadership Foundation note with the deepest regret the news of the death of Allan Gray on 10 November 2019 in Bermuda. Allan and his wife Gill were strong supporters of the GLF in its earliest days and played a significant role in setting it on a sound basis to allow it to grow into its present form.


GLF Member Louise Frechette visits Arizona

From October - November 2019, GLF Board Member Louise Frechette spent 3 weeks at the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University as the Scholar in Residence initiated by Barbara Barrett and arranged by GLF. Louise Frechette delivered her keynote address to students at the college on 23rd October, focusing on the evolution of the United Nations throughout her career as well as the future of multilateralism.
